The Sea Tiger was a cargo vessel that was sunk as an artificial reef in 1999. The wreck is located in about 127 feet of sand, and the main deck is between 85 and 100 feet below the surface. The wreck is upright and in good condition, although over time it has begun to deteriorate. The ship is popular with SCUBA divers because of its location and the variety of marine life that has made it home including eels, octopus, reef sharks, and dozens of varieties of tropical fish.
The YO-257 and San Pedro are both old wrecks that were sunk by Atlantis Submarine as artificial reefs. During World War II and the Korean War, the YO-257 was a Navy Yard Oiler that delivered thousands of gallons of fuel to other ships. The San Pedro was owned by an old Korean fishing company and while carrying supplies in 1997 it caught fire! The ship was then moored for nearly 20 years before being sunk. Our divers will have the opportunity to explore both wrecks when the currents and conditions are ideal.
Diving at Ewa Pinnacles is a dream come true for any diver. With its large lava formations, the site is home to an abundance of macro life. Keep your head up though, as larger life can also be seen swimming by. Turtles, white tip reef sharks, and spotted eagle rays are all common sights, but you may also get lucky and spot a monk seal, sandbar shark, or hammerhead shark! To the east of the pinnacles, the sandy seabed is filled with garden eels prodding out of the sand, while orange cup coral, butterfly fish, and sponge crabs occupy the overhangs.

If you have always dreamed about using your dive certification to explore some of Oahu’s underwater wrecks then this is the ideal tour for you. Over the course of 3-4 hours, our experienced team will treat you to a dive experience that you will be talking about for years to come.
Depending on water conditions you will get to experience one of two different shipwrecks. The first is the Sea Tiger which is a merchant vessel with a storied past that was intentionally sunk in 1999 to create an artificial reef. The ship sits upright and is almost completely intact, making it a great dive site. The second potential dive site is the shipwrecks of both the YO-257 and San Pedro. Both of these ships were also intentionally sunk to create artificial reefs. The unique thing about this site is that both ships sit only 100’ apart from each other on the ocean floor.
After exploring the shipwrecks, your guide will take you through a popular reef diving spot known as Ewa Pinnacles which is comprised of massive lava rock formations and coral reefs. This unique environment makes the perfect spot to enjoy viewing marine wildlife like numerous varieties of tropical fish, sea turtles, eels, and much more.
