Kihei or Lahaina
Surfing is a popular activity on Maui and both Kihei and Lahaina are known for good waves. Kihei is located on the southwest shore provides the best surf during the summer when the waves are at their biggest. However, even during the winter months, there are usually plenty of waves to choose from. Lahaina is located on the northwest shore of the island and is one of the most popular surfing spots on Maui. Although Lahaina is often crowded with surfers, it is still possible to find some great waves. Ultimately, the best spot for surfing is whichever one is closest to where you’re staying. That way, you can make the most of your time on the island and catch some great waves.

Our lessons include an approximate 10-15 minute land lesson on the basics of surfing and ocean safety. Then it’s time to hit the water and catch some waves! We’ll teach you everything you need to know about paddling out, reading the waves, and popping up to a standing position. Soon you’ll be riding the waves like a pro! Our instructors will be with you every step of the way to make sure you stay safe and have fun. All equipment is provided for the lesson, so all you need to bring is your swimsuit and sunscreen. Lessons are small group sizes in order to give you the best possible instruction. Choose between a surf lesson in Kihei or Lahaina – both offer great waves for surfing!

Any request for a refund prior to 72 hours is honored with a full cash refund.
In the event of cancellation or request for a change to your reservation, please note the following. For most Hawaii Tours & Activities originating from Maui, there is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability.
No refunds are issued for any tours changed within the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour.
