Coral Gardens

Coral Gardens is a unique, beautiful natural reef formation that is in a protected bay on the west-side of Maui. With only a few boats at this location, this snorkel spot is very exclusive and private. With visibility reaching 40 feet it’s crystal-clear waters and large coral heads make the views for snorkeling breathtaking. Prepare to see an amazing variety of tropical fish, including triggerfish, angelfish, parrotfish, and butterflyfish. Some of the marine animals you may encounter during your snorkel trip are: Hawaiian monk seals, Hawaiian green sea turtles, crabs, octopus, and even eels.

Coral Gardens is one of Maui’s premier snorkeling destinations. You even have the chance to snorkel with Hawaiian green sea turtles in their natural environment! These graceful creatures are often spotted at Coral Gardens and will peacefully glide by as you enjoy the wonders of this unique destination. This snorkel spot is only safely accessed by boat, and it is truly special because of what lies beneath the surface. The coral formations here and marine life are SPECTACULAR! Coral Gardens has it all. Located just south of Olowalu and in front of the gorgeous West Maui Mountains, this lush environment allows marine life to thrive.

What Should We Bring On Board The Boat?

You will need a beach towel, swimsuit, NON-aerosol sunscreen, a hat or light coverup (the mornings can be cool), cash or credit card for anything extra you might want to purchase while on board or for gratuity. You will want to bring a camera. We do offer reef safe sunscreen as a courtesy on board our boats. A valid ID is needed for alcoholic beverages.
Is There A Bathroom And Shade Onboard?

Yes to both! We have built-in awnings that cover the upper and lower decks and there is a bathroom (marine head) that doubles as a place to change.
Do You Have To Be Able To Swim To SNUBA?

Yes! You do need to be comfortable with snorkeling and being in the water to have the best possible SNUBA experience.
Do You Have To Be Able To Swim To Snorkel?

Actually, you DO NOT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM in order to snorkel with us. We offer multiple flotation devices to assist you and keep you afloat while in the water.

Is This Trip Safe For Children And The Elderly?

Absolutely. We have safety rails throughout the vessel, and entry into and out of the water is safe and easy with submerged stairs. We also boast a glass bottom viewing area and a super water slide on the bow. In addition, we have dedicated staff members monitoring people at all times while in the water.
Is This A SNUBA Or Snorkel Trip?

This is a Snorkel Adventure that offers our guests the opportunity to also do SNUBA all on one trip.
