The Kauai Movie tour provides an opportunity to experience Kauai through movie sets, taking you on a guided tour journeying through some of the island’s popular filming locations, including settings for “Six Days and Seven Nights,” “Gilligan’s Island,” “The Amazing Race,” “Fantasy Island,” “Blue Hawaii,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Kapaʻa Town
This quaint town in northeastern Kauai earns a spot on this tour because of its prominence in the 1993 film Jurassic Park. Though the amber mine seen at the beginning of the film was said to be in the Dominican Republic, the scene was actually shot in Kapa’a on Kauai. Kapa’a is also one of Kauai’s best shopping destinations, with dozens of boutique shops and art galleries to enjoy.

Description
Do you love movies as much as we do? Our love of movies shows on our Kauai Movie & TV Tour. We visit some great waterfalls, beaches, rainforests, bays, and towns where some of the most iconic films were shot.
See a town from Jurassic Park, laugh at the memories from the show Gilliganʻs Island, and walk the pier where classics like South Pacific took place.
Throughout the day, we see some of the best areas of Kauai, which work up an appetite that we satisfy with a stop for your own lunch at Hanalei Town. Your guide gets you back to your hotel around 3:00 pm after a 7-8 hour beautiful island tour.
Guests who are visiting from Oahu for the day will be returned back to the airport at the end of the day and will be provided a shuttle to and from the airport on Oahu from Waikiki.
Itinerary
- 5:00 am: Pickup in Waikiki (for Oahu one day tours)
- 7:15-7:30 am: Pickup at Hotels In Poipu area
- 7:30-7:45 am: Pickup at Hotels In Lihue, Wailua, and Kapaa areas (Please note that this tour does not pick up from the Princeville area.)
- 8:00 am- 12:00 pm: Stops at various locations
- 12:00 pm: Lunch in Hanalei Town (lunch on your own)
- 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Various film locations
- 3:00 pm: Return to your Kauai hotel
- 3:30 pm: Drop off At the Airport (one day Oahu tour guests)
- 5:30 pm: Return to your Waikiki Hotel

For tours that include flights between islands, there is no refund or exchange for another name.
