The Waimea Canyon is also home to some of the most beautiful natural scenery on the island, with its crimson and orange cliffs, lush green vegetation, and cascading waterfalls. Kōke‘e State Park

Kōke‘e State Park is located on Kauai's western side, very near Waimea Canyon. The 4,345-acre park is covered in forest, wildflowers, and hiking trails, making it an excellent spot to see native plants and colorful endemic Hawaiian forest birds like the ʻapapane, ‘iwi, and moa. Not to mention, the park has roughly 45 miles of hiking trails for visitors to explore. Some paths take you to views of Waimea Canyon, while others meander through humid woodlands with panoramic vistas of valleys leading to the North Shore.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel up to 5 days before your tour starts. No cancellations, changes or refunds can be made within 5 days of your tour, but we will attempt to reschedule you if possible. Cancellations made more than 5 days before the start of the tour may be subject to a 10% service charge.

Do I Need To Provide My Own Food And Snacks?

Yes, you will need to provide your own lunch and snacks! Although, if necessary, we can make a pit stop for food before starting the hike. For tours headed towards Waimea Canyon, your guide can also take you to Kōkeʻe Lodge for a sit-down lunch. You will have the opportunity to discuss meal options with your guide during their check-in call the day before your hike. All meals are included only in our multi-day backpacking and camping adventures.
What Should I Wear?

If you're planning on touring Waimea Canyon or Kokee State Park, be sure to pack some warm layers and a rain jacket! The temperatures in these parks can be up 20 degrees cooler than in coastal areas, especially during winter. A complete list of gear will be sent to you after booking to ensure that you have everything you need for your tour. And if there's something that you forget or don't have, no problem! Our guides sometimes carry extras with them.
Do You Provide Transportation?

In nearly all circumstances, your tour guide can pick you up and drop you off at any location on the island. If you are struggling with getting to the tour on time, try meeting your guide closer to the tour area or select a tour nearer to where you are staying. Please note that tour durations are counted from when you meet your guide until when you say goodbye.
